Forces in Mind Trust Research Centre Conference 2021
The second Forces in Mind Trust Research Centre Conference will take place on 23 and 24 March 2021*; due to ongoing concerns regarding large public gatherings, the conference is now going to be run as a free to attend online event. The online conference will comprise two half-day sessions, running from 10am to 1pm – see the event link for further details. The theme of the conference is the Transition of Service People and Families and it is being delivered in collaboration with the Navy, Army and RAF Families Federations. All tickets purchased previously have been refunded via the original method of payment.
Speakers will include a range of experts bringing together policy, research and the ‘lived experience’ to provide complementary perspectives on significant issues of interest, including education and training, employment, and health and wellbeing. There will also be a showcase of award-winning research programmes and a presentation on the independent report on Service Families, ‘Living in Our Shoes’.
Please register for the event if you are able to attend. We look forward to welcoming you to this special opportunity to hear from and interact with experts in the field, including academia, the charity sector, the Armed Forces and government.
*The conference, which was originally planned for 26/27 March 2020, was rescheduled for 29/30 September 2020 and then 23/24 March 2021 due to ongoing Covid-19-related uncertainty, before being migrated to an online platform. Refunds have been issued to those who signed up to the original conference.
