Sacro’s Veterans Mentoring Service is a service for military veterans who are currently in or are on the periphery of the criminal justice system. The service will work closely with the veteran to put an intensive support plan in place where strategies can be developed to cope with their specific needs. SVR is Scotland’s oldest ex-service charity, founded in 1910 to support independent living for ex-service men and women of all ages and their spouses who find themselves in times of need. SVR provides unique and unrivalled accommodation as well as supporting independent living. We enable our residents to live in a safe, secure and supportive community environment.
Sight Scotland Veterans provides a free service supporting individuals who at some point in their lives have served in the armed forces and currently live with a visual impairment. Members’ sight loss does not have to have occurred during, or as a result of, time spent in the armed forces. Many of their members have lost their sight due to aging or medical conditions.
